简 介：
　　 方闻曾担任普林斯顿大学艺术与考古系远东部的名誉教授，纽约大都会博物馆中国绘画部的特别顾问。他致力于采用“风格分析”的方法来解决中国古代书画的断代问题。其著作《夏山图》和《心印》即是通过具体的绘画作品，深入分析了我国古代山水画风格与流派间的传承变异。同时，方闻也是一位成功的教育家，他的学生遍布全球重要的艺术史院系，形成强有力的普林斯顿学派。
